WELCOME TO OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD 2009
'The Shoebox Appeal' CLICK HERE To Read about 'Operation Christmas Child' Operation Christmas Child is the world's largest children's Christmas project. Since 1990 the project has brought the joy of Christmas to more than 47 million boys and girls throughout the world. Last year they sent 1,240,000 - yes, one million two hundred and forty thousand - shoe boxes from the UK to children in hospitals, orphanages, Internally Displaced Persons camps, homeless shelters and impoverished neighbourhoods. Of these boxes a total of 21 were sent from Langtoft, and with your help we want to reach even more children in the poorest parts of the world in 2009 by sending even more boxes from our community. Your gift is powerful; your little shoe box will make a child feel special and valued, and let them know that you care about them. Choosing gifts and then wrapping and filling a shoe box is a fun and rewarding activity for all the family – especially whenyou know these gifts are going to be used and treasured.
